Azusa is located in the San Gabriel Valley and is one of the pass through cities on historic Route 66. The city gets its name from a Spanish version of the Tongva place name Asuksagna. - Cogswell Dam Mountain Bike Trail – This bike trail is paved and parallels the West Fork of the San Gabriel River. The trail begins at the Highway 39 West Fork Bridge and gradually climbs nearly seven miles inland. There is a more demanding rout that physically fit bikers can take that ends at the top of a scenic reservoir in the Azusa foothills
- Durrell House Museum – This colonial craftsman style home was built in 1923 by former Azusa mayor M.T. Durrell. The museum is currently maintained and operated by the Azusa Historical Society and features various collections
- The Bridge to Nowhere – One of Azusa’s most well-known attractions is an abandoned arc-style bridge that was constructed in 1936. Two years later is was washed out by major flooding. Today the bridge is accessible only by hiking a gently ascending 10 mile trail that offers multiple stream and river crossings as well as scenic views
