Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park – This Florida State Park is for anyone who loves relaxing in a beautiful outdoor setting. The Gardens State Park has great floral architecture, a unique brick walkway, a secret garden, a reflection pool and a lake. In Lake Hall, you can even go swimming, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. There are even grills lined along the lake to make the trip a full-day event for picnicking.
Tallahassee Museum – Traditionally museums have been notably seen as boring for some members of the family, however, the Tallahassee Museum has much more than historical artifacts. Everyone can enjoy the half-mile nature trail loop through the oak and pine trees and watch the diverse flora and fauna of the area. Additionally, there are elevated boardwalks to observe the amazing living displays of native animals, including wolves, panthers, bears and much more, who have found a home here at the Tallahassee Museum.
Cascades Park – Located in the heart of Downtown Tallahassee, Florida the Cascades Park is a nice venue that combines art, entertainment, education, history, and wellness. The park features an amphitheater where concerts take place, an “imagination fountain” for the kids to play in, a “discovery” play area with obstacles to climb, and a nice walking path to relax and stroll on. This a great place for the whole family.
